One time while traveling, when the Rabbi saw the crowds following him, he went up onto a mountain to teach them; and after he sat down, his talmidim came to him.

He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,
"O, the gladness of the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

O, the gladness of those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
O, the gladness of the humble, for they shall inherit the earth.
O, the gladness of those who hunger and thirst for tzedakah, for they shall be satisfied.
O, the gladness of the compassionate, for they shall be shown compassion.
O, the gladness of the pure in heart, for they shall behold God.
O, the gladness of those who pursue shalom, for they shall be called sons of G-d.
O, the gladness of those who have been pursued on account of
tzedakah, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
O, the gladness of you when people insult you and persecute you, falsely speaking all kinds of evil about you because of me.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they pursued the prophets who were before you."

This is the teaching of the Rabbi.
